Pricing · what's included

How much does a process server cost in Texas?

Short answer: it depends on speed, distance and how hard the person is to find — and too many servers won't tell you until after you've hired them. Here's what drives the price, what should be included, and our full published price list.

What drives the price

Sheriffs and constables also serve civil process. Their fees are set by each county's commissioners court and published by the county — check your county's site. People often choose a private certified server for speed, evening and Saturday availability, live tracking, and someone who answers a text.

Our published prices

CountyRoutineRushSame-day
Collin$85$135$175
Denton$85$135$175
Dallas$95$145$185
Tarrant$110$160$200

Inside those four counties travel is included — no mileage, wherever the address is. Outside them: Collin rates plus $15 for each additional 5 miles beyond 20 miles from our North Plano base, confirmed in writing before we accept. Every tier includes up to three attempts, GPS + photo on each one, a live tracking link and a court-ready affidavit of service.

Payment-first, no surprises: a human reviews every request before anything happens. Once it's approved you get a secure pay link — nothing starts until it's paid, and nothing is ever charged if we can't take the job. No invoicing, no payment plans.

What should be included — at any price

Whoever you hire, ask whether the price includes these. Ours does:

Hidden costs to watch for

When comparing quotes, ask about per-attempt fees after the first, mileage and "trip charges", rush surcharges added after the fact, separate fees for the affidavit or notarizing it, weekend or evening premiums, and "skip trace" fees bundled into routine serves. Our prices above are the whole story: three attempts, travel inside four counties, evenings and Saturdays, the tracking link and the affidavit are all included.

Refunds — when you get your money back

If we decline after you've paid, miss the first-attempt window we committed to, or the papers turn out to be something a private server can't legally serve, you get a full refund. If an attempt has been made and the person evaded service, the attempts were the work — you get the documented diligence for your Rule 106 motion. Full details on our policies page.
